On Tuesday 27th November 2018 my world stood still.
RSV and Bronchiolitis have completely changed the way I parent. I sound paranoid I know but Alfie was fighting so hard for breath that an ambulance rushed us to hospital and he was then on high pressured oxygen and tube fed for a week.
Thank god for 111 who realised the severity of his condition because I don’t know where we’d be today. If you have a cold I urge you please stay away from small babies. Or at least refrain from kissing their faces and make sure you wash your hands frequently.
Make the GP take you seriously. I didn’t and played down my concerns because I didn’t want to come across as an over anxious first time mum. So for the mums who think they’re too paranoid or too overprotective. I see you and I’m telling you, you’re not.
