It takes a Village

In case you need to hear this today: 

You are their person and you are enough,

Because sometimes it doesn’t feel like you can,

Because you show up,

Because there aren’t days off,

Because you wanted this so badly but didn’t realise how defeated you would feel,

Because you still get up and carry on despite this,

Because the days are long,

Because the nights are longer,

Because you are a stay at home parent,

Because you are a working parent,

Because one baby completes your family,

Because you don’t know how you’ll ever have more babies,

Because you don’t have date nights,

Because you take a well deserved break,

Because it takes a village.
