Return to work
The day has come. The packed lunches have been packed. The nappies are accounted for. You’ve got enough wipes for triplets. The perfect outfit is chosen. The alarm is set.
After a night of usual wake ups (husband helping out), the alarm goes off. Obviously sleeping baby has teleported into bed during the early hours. Show body the shower enough to wash sleep away but not too long to overindulge.
Get dressed, hair and make up at a speed that would give Bolt a run for his money. Baby still asleep. Obviously. On a day when I can’t lay in. Go downstairs and pack car. Baby still asleep. Obviously.
Baby is woken, dressed and fed. Oh my god we’re actually on time. Until baby freezes mid train choo choo. No. Red face. Nooooo. Yep, obviously nature calls now. And back upstairs we go. Nearly on time... oh well there’s always next week.
